Chelsea’s Freshpack Story
“I started working at Freshpack two weeks after graduating from high school. My first job was in the crumbles room scooping cheese into cups, and I really enjoyed it. My supervisor, Holly, noticed that I could handle more responsibility, so I took on data entry, and then I ended up taking on a night shift. A few months later, my coworkers told me that there was an open position for a Quality Technician. Honestly, being so young, I was intimidated by the job, but I interviewed for it and I got it! It wasn’t even a year since I’d started working at Freshpack, and I’d already advanced in my work several times. Now I am the Quality Control Manager – I lead the entire department and handle the hiring. You never really know where you might end up here if you just work hard, and there are going to be plenty more opportunities for others as we grow. That’s the upside of working at a growing company, and I look forward to many more years here.”
